Summary of Contract
The scheme involved replacing the heating systems in 417 council flats at six tower blocks in Rusholme and Newton Heath. M J Gleeson Group created the wholly owned subsidiary Manchester Energy Company Limited (MECo) to manage the contract.
As part of the project the heating systems were stripped out and new radiators fitted and fed from new energy centres to reduce costs.
The project was completed on time and to budget in March 2000.
